Jonathan Elhard - Professional Portrait Artist
First off, thank-you for stopping by the site to see what I am all about. I have a job I love - it is the envy of a lot of people - and it is my desire to get better and better every time I get behind the camera.
Lots of photographers will wax on poetically about their love for the craft of photography, how it's their passion, they just have to make pictures blah, blah, blah. Not me. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do, but photography is just a tool for doing what I really love - providing people with a great experience.
It is my desire to serve humankind in a way that is positive, fulfilling and joyful. I believe photography is the ulitmate tool for expressing this desire. I get to be creative, I try to be funny, I get to meet new people, I get to be involved during important events in their lives, and I produce a product that has eternal value. It's all about the experience.
So there is my business philosophy. On a personal note, here are a couple of things about me you should know:
My wife, Denise, gets all the credit in the world for putting up with me. She has spent the last fifteen years fixing me up, and she is the reason I have achieved the things I have.
I have two amazing children, Aimee and Jachin. Aimee recently turned 13 which means I am the father of a teenager (please pray for me!), and Jachin is now 8 and a half. If you ask him how old he is the half is just as important as the eight. He will make sure you know that!
I am more than a little addicted to coffee. From five dollar lattes to 95 cent gas station refills, I will take it wherever I can get it.
My addiction to the Toronto Maple Leafs is not healthy either. Go ahead and laugh, get it out of your system. There, feel better. I told you I was funny.
Beer tastes the best when I am carrying golf clubs. Its pretty good when I am watching a hockey game, too.
I will do anything for my friends. I don't think they realize how serious I am about the things I offer to them. I won't help them hide a body, but pretty much everything else goes.
God is my provider. There is not enough room here to tell you about all the times He has proven this.
Again, thank-you for stopping by. I would love to hear from you about the photography experience you are craving.
