Foundation of Memories FAQ

Q. What is the Foundation of Memories?
A. The Foundation of Memories is a fundraiser for the David Thompson Health Region Foundation, with proceeds from the certificate sales contributing to equipment for the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre Emergency Department.

Q. What does the certificate include?
A. The $75 certificate includes a Planning Session, Family Portrait Session, one Digital Presentation and one Classic 8x10 portrait. It has a value of $315 including GST. ($175 session + $125 8x10 + GST)

Q. Where do I purchase the certificate, and can I buy more than one for gifts?
A. Certificates are available from the David Thompson Health Region Foundation. You can contact them by phone at 403-343-4773, in person, or through their website. You are welcome to purchase as many certificates as you would like, although a separate session must be booked for each certificate used.

Q. Who can be photographed in one certificate session?
A. The certificate includes any three groupings. For extended families, more than one certificate may be used. However, each complimentary 8x10 must come from a different grouping.

Q. When does the certificate expire?
A. Your photography must be completed by August 31, 2009, therefore you must contact Traptow Photography well in advance of this date to schedule a Planning Session and a Portrait Session.  Session times book quickly and will not be extended into the fall. Your 8x10 must be ordered at your Digital Presentation within 30 days of your Portrait Session.

Q. What is the cost of additional portraits?
A. Additional portraits are priced according to the Traptow Photography Portrait Schedule and pricing depends on the size of the portraits required.

Q. How long are the certificates on sale?
A. The certificates are available to purchase from September 1 to December 31, 2008.

Q. What if I want something larger instead of the 8x10?
A. The certificate is redeemable for one 8x10 only. Alternate portraits may be purchased at regular prices.

Q. Does the photography session have to be at the studio?
A. No. When you go to the studio for your planning session you can discuss having your photography at the studio or at another location.

Q. Do I have to do my photography within office hours?
A. When you call for your appointment, every effort will be made to accommodate mutual schedules. Sundays and Holidays are not available, while appointments booked outside of studio hours are subject to a surcharge of $100.
